About the School

Progress Carlisle provides a huge range of learning spaces for groups of no more than eight to work with a teacher and learning support mentor. The creative curriculum focuses on the acquisition of qualifications to support a successful Year 11 Progression. We support students in making their applications for a college placement with visits to learn about available courses. We continue to support students once they have left us should they require further support with their next step. We work closely to support our students' interpersonal skills so that they can break down learning barriers and develop the skills to be good citizens.

Statement of qualifications: Progress Schools offer a variety of qualifications to students. In the academic year 2022/2023, students at Progress Schools – Carlisle studied and passed qualifications and units in Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT. The curriculum offers a variety of unaccredited programmes that students engage with throughout the year including enrichment projects. Please see curriculum pages for further information on courses studied.
