Progress Schools Hamilton Square received a heartwarming donation of sensory items from local leading retailer, Home Bargains. The generous gift will significantly enhance the learning experience for students at the school.

Ellise Wooley, Teacher at Progress Schools Hamilton Square, contacted multiple companies asking for support to create a safe, stimulating, recreational/games space for the students.

In the case of Hamilton Square, a large number of their cohort have a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism and other disabilities that require greater levels of support.

After reaching out, Ellise was delighted when she received a reply from Home Bargains’ Head Office, who enthusiastically agreed to help. Staff at the retailer generously searched their warehouse for suitable items, resulting in a large collection perfect for the school’s games and sensory room.

After collecting the items, the team at Progress Schools Hamilton Square got to work unboxing all the fun, new gadgets they received. Overcome with gratitude, Ellise commented,

“We would like a say a huge thank you! We are always incredibly grateful when local businesses are able to support us. We were really overwhelmed by the volume of items donated and know that they will really help our students.”
