Independent Education provider, Progress Schools, has officially opened the doors to their brand-new school in Wolverhampton.
The school will offer an alternative provision for young people in the local and surrounding areas who have been unable to remain in mainstream education. Through their bespoke and innovative curriculum, Progress Schools support their pupils to develop both academically and emotionally.
The new Wolverhampton site is the first Progress School to open in the West Midlands area, and is a welcomed addition to the community. The new school site was officially opened by Mayor Greg Brackenridge, who said;
‘’I am delighted to officially open the new Progress Schools site in Wolverhampton. The work that Progress Schools do goes beyond the minimum requirements of an alternative provision. Their commitment to building partnerships within the local community will enhance the education they provide for their young people. Each young person is entitled to a high-quality and effective education, despite their circumstances, and the team at Progress Schools are ready and able to provide a provision that has the young people at the heart of it.

Alongside the Mayor, the Progress Schools Wolverhampton team were joined by Wolverhampton South-West MP, Stuart Anderson, who was keen to learn more about the independent education provider’s plans. Speaking at the event, Mr Anderson said;
“As a parent, I want to ensure that all children have a great start in life, with good schools, training opportunities, and personalised careers support. I was delighted to open the new Progress School in Wolverhampton, which will offer a broad and enriching programme of support for young people who may struggle in mainstream school or require extra support to fulfil their full potential. I look forward to working with the school in the years ahead as it serves our community.”
